We had a great time in Southern California with our friends from December 28 - January 1. We’ve been gathering with them for the majority of the last 15 years so Sam has grown up with the (now) young adults and Zack has made his own good friends along the way too. Among other cool experiences, Sam compared notes on college applications with some of the other seniors and met a man who works in the adversity in childhood space (something Sam has considered studying). He uses performing arts to help young people transform the negative forces in their lives (The Possibility Project). Sam also was free to swim this year (no blina bag, no port), go drive K-1 cars, and go to a VR NYE experience. 

This year they even included a blood drive ❤️.  

This was his one and only vacation this year so we were especially grateful to have this time together with friends away from the homestead. Looking forward to more travel in 2024.
