Send and extra dose of your good vibes in Sam’s direction at 5:30 pm PST today as he’ll be doing his very first interview ever — for college.
He’s got a wonderful style and knows who he is/has a comfortable sense of self. I love that about him. No pretense. No blowing smoke up anyone’s butt. Direct and no nonsense. Authentic & funny. It’s refreshing. He’s got a lot to be proud of.
Go Sam!

Excited for Sam and this next chapter. The right college that fits him best and offers the experience he wants in his college years will be the one because any college would be lucky to have him!

Good luck to Sam! If it helps in any way, here's my high-level advice after 25 years conducting alumni interviews: Be enthusiastic, be genuine, be curious, listen carefully to questions and answer the questions that were asked, and be vulnerable (i.e. willing to admit when things didn't go perfectly or as planned, and also how you reacted to that). Basically, be a human being willing to engage in an honest conversation about who you are, what you love, what you've done and been through already, and what you are hoping for in your future. Those were always the very best interviews, and left a lasting positive impression no matter what the ups and downs were of the specific events discussed in the interview itself.

Sam, you just keep being you!

There is some outstanding advice being offered already, so there's not much that I can add other than "just be Sam". I wouldn't change one thing about him. He is just a great kid. (We could use him in the SEC, just want to toss that in there.)

Lots of love to you all!
